Aw Vernie, sorry I didn't know of your passing until now. You were such a classy woman, a little on the wily side though, and oh so fiercely protective of your boys. I know losing Bill took a terrible toll, yet in your sorrow, you found the grace to comfort a distraught girl who loved him. I am eternally grateful to you for your kindness and understanding of my loss. I hope you found comfort after the loss of your husband, and that you found as much joy in possible in your sons and their children.
I know your homecoming was one of singing angels and George and Bill met you with arms teaming with your beloved roses. May your eternity with them make up for the time on earth you missed.
