My condolences to the family near and far.
I considered Mr.Laney as a father figure I never had. He was a stern and yet stubborn man, and yet had a heart of gold. Yes he was not perfect but let those who think they are cast the first stone. He always said that to me. He was a funny man and loved to laugh. He loved all who touched his heart. Ray worked very hard his entire life and in the end age took over and he lost interest in life. I knew him for a longtime and he always told me when I was messing up , and didn't mind telling me. I respected him for that. I know he will be missed by all of us that knew him. If he could have lived forever and it was a choice he would have chosen it. Rest in Peace , you will be forever missed.
