Obituary Notice
Funeral services for Delores Dueitt Whiddon, age 70, of Roanoke, will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 20, 2013, from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Bro. Harry Cobb offficiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 - 8:00 pm, Tuesday, March 19, 2013.
Pallbearers will be Keith Blue, Tommy Holmes, Tim Eldridge, Ben McManus, Allan Daniel and Donald Thompson.
Mrs. Whiddon died Monday, March 18, 2013, at her home.
Mrs. Whiddon is survived by her husband, Charles L. Whiddon of Roanoke; one son, Tony Whiddon and wife Kim of Roanoke; four grandchildren, Bryce, Aubrey, Delaney, and Caleb Whiddon; five sisters, Dorothy Hall, Katherine Havens, Joann Weinshenker, Joyce Roberts and Gloria Hughes all of Mobile; two brothers, Jerry Dueitt of Mobile and Ronald Dueitt of Montgomery.
Mrs. Whiddon was born, July 15, 1942, the daughter of Honor and Myrtle Pritchard Dueitt. She was a member of the West Broad Street Church of Christ had had been a homemaker. Mrs. Whiddon was preceded in death by her parents.
