Obituary of Jerry Lynn Hudgins

Funeral services for Jerry Lynn Hudgins, age 75, of Woodland, will be held Sunday, June 30, 2013, at 3:00 p.m. from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. A. W Kent officiating. Burial will follow at Gray Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, June 29th from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Mr. Hudgins died Friday, June 28, 2013, at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Ga. Survivors include his wife, Ruby Carr Hudgins of Woodland; one daughter, Linda Marie McAdams of Buchanan, GA; one son, Tim Dewayne Hudgins of Woodland; two brothers, Harlin Hudgins of Florida and Horace Hudgins of Georgia; two granddaughters; three great-granddaughters; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Dale "Red" Perry, Andy Bailey, Randy Jenkins, David Hudgins, Ron "Coach" Watters, Steve McDaniel and Ellison McAdams. Cecil Bailey will serve as honorary pallbearer. A Talladega native, Mr. Hudgins, was born November 8, 1937, son of Amos and Sara Steele Hudgins. He was a retired book binder and had served as vice president of the Book Binders Union. He was a member of Standing Rock Assembly of God.
