Obituary of Curtis B. McGill

Obituary Funeral services for Curtis B. McGill, age 75, of 1656 Co. Rd. 845 Randolph Co. Rd., Wadley, AL, will be held Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. from Pleasant Hill Community Church with Rev. Al Perkins III officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Pleasant Hill Community Church Tuesday, July 2nd from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mr. McGill died June 28, 2013, at his residence. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Whiteside McGill of Wadley; one daughter, Karen McGill of Denver, Co.; three sons, Robert McGill of Tallahassee, FL, Samuel Paul McGill of Anchorage, AK, and David McGill of Denver, CO; one sister, Juanita McGill Bailey of LaGrange, GA; and six grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Robert McGill, Paul McGill, Karen McGill, David McGill, Riley McGill, and Gaige McGill. The football team from Coach Ray Jones era of Wadley High School will serve as honorary pallbearers. A Wadley native, Mr. McGill was born February 14, 1938, son of Samuel Curtis and Beulah Evans McGill. He was a retired Master Sergeant for the United States Air Force. Mr. McGill was a member of Pleasant Hill Community Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Pleasant Hill Community Church Fund, c/o Carolyn McGill, SSM, 1656 Co.
