Obituary of Mary Clyde Stewart

Funeral services for Mary Clyde Lovvorn Stewart, age 85, of Woodland, will be held Saturday, July 6, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. from Herren's Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Akin officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 5, 2013. Mrs. Stewart will lie in state at the church for one hour beginning at 10:00 a.m. Mrs. Stewart died Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at her home. Survivors include two daughters, Jan Stewart Tolbert (Jerry) of Carrollton, GA, and Jill Stewart McCord (James) of Sandy Springs, GA; two sons, Jeff Lovvorn Stewart (Laura) of Woodland, AL and Joe Mack Stewart (Gilda) of Woodland, AL; eight grandchildren, Amy Stewart Parker (John), Jennifer Stewart Gay (Lane), Andrew Lovvorn Stewart (Tracy), Jay Rackley Stewart (Abby), Joanna Stewart Everett(Aaron), Joshua Stewart McCord, Jamie Lea McCord, and Jeffrey Mack Stewart; ten great-grandchildren, Courtney, Emily and John David Parker; Carley, Kenzie and Callen Gay; Mattie Stewart; Rackley Everett; Aniston and Mali Stewart. A lifelong Randolph County resident, Mrs. Stewart was born on October 25, 1927, the daughter of H.E. and Iva Meadows Lovvorn. She was a member of Pine Hill Christian Church and had been self-employed as a beautician. Mrs. Stewart was preceded in death by one sister, Sara Lovvorn Wiggins and the father of her children, Mack Stewart. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to one's favorite Christian charity.
