Funeral services for Joaquin H. Allende, age 68, of Wadley, will be held Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at 5:00 p.m. from Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Roanoke, with Father Antoo C. Alappat officiating. Burial will follow at Concord Baptist Church Cemetery, Wadley.
The family will receive friends at the church from 4:00-5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2013.
Mr. Allende died July 4, 2013, in Calhoun County.
Survivors include his wife, Hilaria S. Allende; three daughters, Celsa Allende of Hoover, AL, Jazmine Allende of Wadley, AL, and Alma Allende of Birmingham, AL; two sisters, two brothers and five grandchildren.
A native of Mexico, Mr. Allende was born on March 14, 1945, the son of Elpidio Allende Hernandez and Celsa Santana. He was a retired welder for Plantation Patterns and was Catholic by belief. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Xochitl Lopez; one brother and one sister.
