Obituary of Darthy Anne Lovvorn Adkins

Funeral services for Darthy Lovvorn Adkins, age 69, of Woodland will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2013, at 2:00 PM from Benefield Funeral Chapel with J.L. Sparks and Hal Simpson officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Church of Christ Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee from 5:00-7:00 PM on Monday, November 25, 2013. Mrs. Adkins passed away Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Georgia. Survivors include: her husband, Clyde Adkins of Woodland; three daughters, Kamie Graves of Birmingham, Tina Jenkins of Delta Junction, AK, and Tracy Parmer of Roanoke; one son, Tony Adkins of Woodland; two sisters, Peggy Cole of Carrollton, GA, and Delores Lovvorn of Oxford; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Tim Cole, Terry Cole, Kenneth Graves, Austin Marsh, Chandler Marsh, and Jimmy Marsh. A Randolph County native, Mrs. Adkins was born on April 15, 1944, the daughter of Watson Holder and Louise Novis Ayers Lovvorn. She was a member of Liberty Church of Christ and a seamstress at Bremen-Bowdon Investment Company. Mrs. Adkins was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Myra Kelly.
