Funeral services for Junior Wilson Reaves, age 84, will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2013, at 11:00 AM from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. David Bronzel officiating. Burial will follow at Pinetucky Baptist Cemetery in Heflin.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Friday, December 27, 2013.
Mr. Reaves passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2013, at his residence.
Survivors include his wife, Christine Duke Reaves of Lineville; one daughter, Elizabeth C. Reaves of Lineville; one son, Bobby J. Reaves of Wedowee; one sister, Brenda Fetner of Wadley; two brothers, Carl Reaves of Talladega and Payne Reaves of LaGrange, GA; six grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Cody Reaves, Jessie Duke, Jeff Fuller, Daniel Fetner, Brian Fetner, and Wendell Morrison.
A Heflin native, Mr. Reaves was born on December 20, 1929, the son of Wilson P. and Beulah Sutton Reaves. He was a member of Delta Independent Church and had been a Truck Driver for the City of Oxford. Mr. Reaves was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Phillip Dale Reaves.
