Funeral services for Flossie Maudine Dewberry, age 75, of Woodland will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2014, from Liberty Grove Congregational Methodist Church at 2:00 PM with Rev. Jeremy Holloway, Rev. Scott Whaley, and Rev. Bobby Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Friday, February 07, 2014. Mrs. Dewberry will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning at 1:00 PM.
Mrs. Dewberry passed away Thursday, February 6, 2014, at her residence.
Survivors include: three daughters, Shirley Rozelle and Sheila Crenshaw of Woodland and Joyce Hill of Roanoke; one son, Billy Dewberry of Woodland; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Ann Proctor of Lineville; and five brothers, Roy Harmon of Roanoke, Gene Harmon of Valley, Harvey Harmon and Lowell Harmon of Opelika, and Donald Harmon of Lineville.
Pallbearers will be William Baker, Kelly Baker, Robby Hill, Kevin Baker, Kevin Gosdin, and Micheal Watts.
A Randolph County native, Mrs. Dewberry was born on April 5, 1938, the daughter of Taylor and Mae Craven. She was a member of Liberty Grove Congregational Methodist Church and was a homemaker. Mrs. Dewberry was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wyatt Dewberry; two sons, Frankie Dewberry and Bobby Dewberry; and one brother.
