Funeral services for Sophia Isabelle Vargas, age 2, of Wedowee will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2014, at 2:00 PM from Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Roanoke with Father Anto Alapar officiating and Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-10:00 PM on Saturday, February 8, 2014.
Sophia passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2014, in Wedowee, Alabama.
Survivors include her parents, Amber and Alejandro Vargas of Wedowee; one sister, Liliana Vargas of Wedowee; one brother, Favian Vargas of Wedowee; paternal grandparents, Juana Solorio and Apolonio Vargas of Mexico; maternal grandmother, Penny Rochester of Pensacola, FL; two aunts, Jessica McClain and Maribel Vargas; and two uncles, German Vargas and Alejandro Ayala.
A Pensacola, Florida native, Sophia was born on May 26, 2011, the daughter of Alejandro Vargas Valadez and Amber Marie McClain Vargas.
The family would like to thank the volunteer fire departments and Wedowee Hospital for the good care provided to them.
