Obituary of Clifford J. Green

Obituary Funeral services for Clifford J. Green, age 85, of Woodland will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2014, at 2:00 PM from Napoleon Church of Christ with Bro. Terry Langley officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Saturday, February 15, 2014. He will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning at 1:00 PM on Sunday. Mr. Green passed away Friday, February 14, 2014, at Traylor Nursing Center in Roanoke. Survivors include: two daughters, Yolanda (Mike) Hudson of Lanett and Melissa (Danny) Bridgman of Napoleon; one son, Charles (Ann) G. Green of Napoleon; four grandchildren and six stepgrandchildren; and two sisters, Jeanette Prince of Woodland and Lilly Shaw of Port Carnival, FL. A Randolph County native, Mr. Green was born on January 4, 1929, the son of William G. and Arizona A. Sears Green. He was a member of Napoleon Church of Christ, a World War II Air Force Veteran, and worked in the supply room at West Point Pepperell. Mr. Green was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Imogene Hester Green; one son, Phillip J. Green; one sister and one brother.
