Memorial services for Vanessa Lynn Gold Chaffin, age 62, of Wedowee, will be held Monday, March 17, 2014, at 1:00 pm EST at Miller Funeral Chapel in Tallapoosa, GA,
Mrs. Chaffin passed away Friday, March 14, 2014, at Wedowee Hospital.
She is survived by her husband Wadell Chaffin of Wedowee; two daughters, Genny Causey of Lineville and Aundrea Haney of New Port News, VA; two sons, Georgia Hardy of Dawsonville, GA, and Jimmy Donaldson of Lakeland, FL; twelve grandchildren; four sisters, Elizabeth Carter and Sandra Fairbanks both of Scottsboro, June Wood of Petersburg, TN, and Cathy Howell of Fayetteville, GA; two brothers, Sam Gold of Clanton and Doyle Ledwell of Scottsboro; four step children, John Wesley Chaffin of Rome, GA, Robert Wade Chaffin, Amy Leah Chaffin, and Anna Lee Brittian all of Tallapoosa, GA; nine step-grandchildren.
Mrs. Chaffin was born on March 4, 1952, the daughter of Talt Lester (Geneva) Gold and Ruby Gable Sutton. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Jean Mount.
