Memorial services for Wilbur Dale Hardman, age 88, of LaGrange, Georgia, will be held on Saturday May 3, 2014, at 1:00 PM EST from Benefield Funeral Chapel. Military graveside services will follow at Green's Chapel United Methodist cemetery.
Mr. Hardman passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014, at Piedmont-Henry Hospital in Stockbridge, Georgia.
Survivors include his wife, Edith Louise Ware Hardman of Jonesboro, GA; two daughters, Lucy (husband, David) Cochran of West Point, GA, and Linda Williams of Jonesboro, GA; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A Cleveland, Ohio native, Mr. Hardman was born on August 16, 1925, the son of Frank and Mabel Cain Hardman. He was a member of Green's Chapel United Methodist Church and was an accountant for Georgia Highway Express Trucking. Mr. Hardman was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Randolph County Animal Shelter.
