Obituary Notice
Graveside services for Charles Brand age 69 of Woodland will be held Sunday July 6, 2014 at 3:00 PM from Haywood Cemetery with Rev. Keith Benefield officiating.
Mr. Brand passed away Friday July 4, 2014 at his residence.
The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home- Wedowee on Saturday July 5, 2014 from 4 till 8 PM.
Mr. Brand is survived by his wife Mary Thelma Brand of Woodland; one daughter Teresa (Joe) Knight of Wadley; one son Timothy (Alicia) Brand of Villa Rica, Ga; two sisters Hazel Bernard of South Carolina and Annette Carden of Wadley; five brothers Marvin Brand of Andalusia, Edward Brand of North Carolina, Billy Brand of Alex City, Thomas Brand of Illinois and Jack Brand of Wadley.
Pallbearers will be Rodney Richardson, Wade Willingham, Jerome Taylor, Wayne Hill, John Davis and Paul Davis.
Mr. Brand was a Wadley native, born April 23, 1945 the son of Marvin Clarence and Martha Jewell Childers Brand. He was retired from Headley Construction Co. and a member of Antioch Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the Air Force. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one brother.
