Funeral service for William R. Ware, age 66, of Woodland will be held on Monday, August 11, 2014, at 5:00 PM from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Dr. Steve Dempsey officiating. Burial will follow Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at 2:00 PM from Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, Alabama.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00-5:00 PM on Monday, August 11.
Mr. Ware passed away Saturday, August 9, 2014, at his residence.
Survivors include his wife, Mheng Ware of Woodland; one daughter, Kimberly Ware of Birmingham; one son, Mike Ware (wife, Misty) of Woodland; two grandchildren, Lauren Ware and Alli Ware; one sister, Susan Ranew of Ocala, FL; and two brothers, Edward Ware of Salt Springs, FL, and Robert Ware of Woodland;
A Florida native, Mr. Ware was born on June 16, 1948, the son of Raymond and Bonnie Bostic Ware. He was Christian by faith and a retired U.S. Navy Vietnam Veteran where he was in the Medical Corp. Mr. Ware was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Steven Ware.
