OBITUARY
Funeral services for Jeffery Owen, age 51, of Woodland, will be held Sunday, August 24, 2014, at 2:30 pm from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Tommy Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Valley Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Saturday, August 23rd.
Mr. Owen died Thursday, August 21, 2014, at his home.
Survivors include one daughter, Jessica Andrews (husband, Daniel) of Newell; one son, Travis Owen (wife, Megan) of Newell; his mother, Virginia Sheppard of Opelika; and two grandchildren, Kenzlie and Karlee.
Pallbearers will be Scott Fowler, Matthew Hill, Randy Sheppard, Shannon Lipham, Mason Lipham and Michael Randall.
A Randolph County native, Mr. Owen was born May 9, 1963, son of Cecil LeRoy and Virginia Nelson Owen. He was a member of Cool Springs United Methodist Church and had worked with McIntyre Lumber Company. He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil and two brothers, Ricky and Donald Owen.
