Obituary of Danny Vaughn Stewart

Funeral services for Danny Stewart, age 63, of Wedowee will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at 2:00 PM from Cavers Grove Christian Church with Rev. Larry Conger and Rev. Jerry Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, September 16, 2014. Mr. Stewart will lie in state for one hour at the church prior to services beginning on Wednesday.
Mr. Stewart passed away Sunday, September 14, 2014, in Wedowee.
Survivors include: two sons, Christopher Stewart (wife, Beatriz) of Wedowee and Brandon Keith Stewart of Wedowee; and three grandchildren, Logan, Kaeli, and Ethan.
Pallbearers will be friends and family.
A Chambers County native, Mr. Stewart was born on October 18, 1950, the son of Cyrus Winston and Daisy Hall Stewart. He was a member of New Life Center Church of God and worked in shipping at Bowdon Manufacturing Company. Mr. Stewart was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joan Denese Boyd Stewart; and one brother, Timothy Stewart.
