Funeral services for Aaron Rice, age 33, of Woodland will be held on Friday, January 2, 2015, at 1:00 PM from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. T.J. Morgan, Rev. David Lipscomb, and Rev. Chris Bain officiating. Burial will follow at Harmony Congregational Methodist Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, January 1, 2015.
Mr. Rice passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at Regional Medical Center in Anniston.
He is survived by his mother, Jane Lipscomb Rice.
Pallbearers will be Stewart Moore, Harold Lipscomb, Michael Lipscomb, Donnie Lipscomb, Jr., Eldridge Key, Steven Key, Jamie Norris, Ken Minter, and Harry Warren.
A Randolph County native, Mr. Rice was born on January 27, 1981, the son of Vennice Aaron Rice, Sr., and Jane Lipscomb Rice. He was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church and worked as a sales associate for Wal-Mart in Roanoke. Aaron was preceded in death by his father.
