Obituary of Syble Gore Traylor

Funeral services for Syble Gore Traylor, age 91, of Newell, will be held on Monday, August 24, 2015, at 11:00 AM from Pine Hill Christian Church with Rev. Dick Hollis officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00-7:00 PM on Sunday, August 23, 2015. Mrs. Traylor passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2015, at Carrollton Manor. Survivors include one daughter, Mary Lois Loftin (husband, Willard) of Roopville, GA; two sons, Ed Traylor (wife, Patricia) of Ranburne and Jerry Traylor (wife, Carol) of Newell; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Agnes Holcomb of Piedmont. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. A Cleburne County native, Mrs. Traylor was born on July 30, 1924, the daughter of Wriley and Lois Brown Gore. She was a member of Pine Hill Christian Church and had been employed with World Book as a salesperson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Griffin Traylor; one son, Jeryl Traylor; two sisters, and one brother.
