Obituary of Ellen Brown Noles

Funeral services for Ellen Brown Noles, age 71, of Roanoke will be held on Monday, October 26, 2015, at 1:00 PM from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Brian Moore and Rev. Ed Halsey officiating. Burial will follow at Big Springs Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Sunday, October 25, 2015. Mrs. Noles passed away Saturday, October 24, 2015, at her residence. Survivors include her husband, Charlie Ray Noles of Roanoke; one daughter, Pamela Jan Noles Spradlin (Husband, Mark) of Roanoke; one son, Nick R. Noles (wife, Wendy) of Newell; two grandchildren, Macey Gable and Colton Diamond; three great-grandchildren, Desmond Gable, David Gable, and Annabelle Diamond; three sisters, Dellie Nobbley of Roanoke, Pearlie Moore of Woodland, and Louise Noles of Woodland; and one brother, Barney Brown of Woodland. Pallbearers will be Tony Moore, Steve Nobbley, Durant Noles, Scott Noles, Danny Noles, Justin Noles, and Phil Cantrell. A Woodland native, Mrs. Noles was born on November 29, 1943, the daughter of Burl and Lula Brown. She was a member of Big Springs Baptist Church and was a housewife. Mrs. Noles was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters, and one brother.
