Funeral services for Helen Marie Spratlin, age 62, of Wedowee will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at 11:00 AM from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Clayton Scott officiating. Burial will follow at Providence Baptist Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Monday, December 14, 2015.
Mrs. Spratlin passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2015, at her residence.
Survivors include her husband, Gerald Spratlin of Wedowee; two daughters, Cindy Lovvorn (husband, Mitch) of Graham and Susan Langston (husband, Richard) of Graham; two sons, Matthew Chambless (wife, Shannon) of Honolulu, HI, and Scott Spratlin (wife, BillieJo) of Graham; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruby Thomas of Nahunta, GA, and Dianne Ivy of Gaffney, SC; and one brother, Norman Wilson of Nahunta, GA.
A Brantley, Georgia native, Mrs. Spratlin was born on April 19, 1952, the daughter of Norman Isaac and Josie Mae Lewis Wilson. She was Baptist by faith and was a homemaker. Mrs. Spratlin was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Evelyn, Dorothy, Robert, Jerry and James.
