Obituary of R.W. Noles

Funeral services for R. W. Noles, age 89, of Woodland will be held on Sunday, July 10, 2016, at 2:00 PM at the Benefield Funeral Chapel with Bro. Keith Noles officiating. Burial will follow at Campground Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:30-8:00 PM on Saturday, July 9, 2016. Mr. Noles passed away Friday, July 08, 2016, at his residence. Survivors include: four daughters, Patricia Chambers of Bowdon, GA, Peggy Mote (husband, Joe) of Woodland, Belinda Wood (husband, Billy) of Wedowee, and Pam McDonald (husband, Dwight) of Anniston; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Kenny Rollins, Billy Wood, Joe Mote, Michael Alexander, Gene Rainwater, and Randal Fortenberry. A Woodland native, Mr. Noles was born on April 27, 1927, the son of Guy and Minnie Lou Hall Noles. He was a member of Prospect Congregational Methodist Church and worked as a machinist for Lockheed Aircraft. Mr. Noles was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Agnes Noles; one brother; and one sister. Memorials may be floral or, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Beacon Hospice.
