Obituary of Sarah Frances Roberts

Funeral services for Sarah Frances Roberts, age 90, of Deland, Florida, formerly of Randolph County, will be held on Friday, December 16, 2016, at 2:00 PM from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. David Daniel officiating. Burial will follow at Campground Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00-2:00 PM on Friday, December 16 before the service. Mrs. Roberts passed away Friday, December 9, 2016, at Florida Hospital Deland in Deland, Florida. Survivors include her husband, Victor L. Robert of Deland, FL; one son, Milton Britt of Pompano Beach, FL; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Hazel Thompson of Wedowee; and a nephew, Phil Thompson of Wedowee. Pallbearers will be Phil Thompson, Wyatt Ward, Norman Ward, Jerry Ward, and Brian Ward. A Randolph County native, Mrs. Roberts was born at Graham, Alabama, on June 17, 1926, the daughter of Jeff and Lena Cosper Ward. She had been a member of Gold Ridge Baptist Church since she was a teenager and worked at Sears for 21 years where she retired. She was always so happy when she could help people. Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by her parents.
