Funeral services for Tara Nicole Eidson, age 39, of Roanoke will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2017, 11:00 AM at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Ricky Emery and Rev. Tim Whaley officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:30-8:00 PM on Friday, April 14, 2017. Tara will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning on Saturday.
Tara passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at Wedowee Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
Survivors include: two daughters, Shaela Michelle Evans and Sidney Ruth Eidson, both of Roanoke; her mother, Linda Ruth Eidson of Roanoke; two sisters, Crista Silen of New Jersey and Tonya Mason of Newnan, GA; and four brothers, Sam Eidson of Roanoke, Brian Eidson of Augusta, GA, Joseph Harbin of Hiawassee, GA, and Edward Harbin of Luthersville, GA.
Pallbearers will be Tim Whaley, Dennis Stastka, Roy Horsley, Carl Partain, Joe Harbin, and Tim Mulkey.
An East Point, Georgia native, Tara was born on October 3, 1977, the daughter of Joseph Steven and Linda Ruth Saye Eidson. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and worked as a manager for Capital Pawn. She loved her family, both blood related and church family, and rarely missed a chance to be in service. Tara loved to travel, was an avid softball player, and loved the Auburn Tigers. She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents.
