Obituary of Mary M. Lee

Funeral services for Mary Madglene Lee, age 81, of Roanoke will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017, at 2:00 PM from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Henry Nelson officiating.  Burial will follow at Skyview Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00 PM on Friday, May 5, 2017.
Ms. Lee passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.
Survivors include: four sons, Larry Brown (wife, Patricia), Darrel Brown, Michael Brown (wife, Alesia, and Alvin Brown (wife, Mary), all of Roanoke; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and special friends.
Pallbearers will be Ms. Lee’s grandchildren.
A Randolph County native, Ms. Lee was born on November 21, 1935, the daughter of Willie Frank and Jessie Ruth Lee Heflin.  She was a member of Weather’s Heights Church of Christ and worked as a spinner for Amoco Fabrics and Fibers.  Ms. Lee was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Linda Strozier; and two brothers, Tommy Heflin and Willie Frank Heflin.
