Obituary of Joe Stanley Mitchell

Graveside services for Joe Stanley “Bo” Mitchell, age 63, of Roanoke will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2017, at 3:00 PM from Mt. Grove Baptist Cemetery with Rev. Bobby Burroughs officiating and Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00-2:30 PM on Thursday, June 1 before services begin.
Mr. Mitchell passed away Monday, May 29, 2017, at his residence.
Survivors include: three sisters, Gary Sabbatino of Hilton Head, SC, and Debra Stallings and Linda Treadwell, both of Wedowee.
A Wedowee native, Mr. Mitchell was born on June 29, 1954, the son of Joe E. and Florence J. Jones Mitchell.  He was Baptist by faith and a veteran of the United States Army.  Mr. Mitchell was preceded in death by his parents.
