Obituary Notice

Funeral services for Bobby Dale Hunt age 61 of Newell will be held Tuesday July 25, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Mount Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Donald Spradlin, Rev. Josh Kennedy, and Rev. J. C. Holloway officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.

Mr. Hunt passed away Saturday July 22, 2017 at his residence.

The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home on Monday July 24, 2017 from 5 till 8 PM.

Mr. Hunt is survived by his wife Dorothy Ann Hunt of Newell; two daughters Diane Mitchell and Donna Whaley both of Wedowee; one brother Donnie Hunt of Roanoke; four grandchildren, Edward Whaley, Brittney Whaley, Jack Blankenship and Jessica Blankenship; one great-grandchild Cadence Whaley.

Pallbearers will be Jack Blankenship, Edward Whaley, Waylon Vowell, Anthony Sprayberry, Chase Brown, Rodney Waters, Tony Brown, Darren Hammond, Brad Smith and Jason Vowell.

Mr. Hunt was born in Chambers County Alabama on September 22, 1955 the son of Truman D. and Flora Salford Hunt. He was a auto body repairman for David Foster Auto Repair. He was a member of Mount Grove Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Mildred Watkins and a brother W.D. Hunt.
