Obituary of Jerrie Lee Marable

Funeral services for Jerrie Lee Marable, age 65, of Wedowee will be held on Monday, October 30, 2017, at 1:00 PM at Pine Flat Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Thomas Knight officiating.  Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00-5:00 PM on Sunday, October 29, 2017.  Mrs. Marable will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning on Monday.

Mrs. Marable passed away Thursday, October 26, 2017, at her residence.

Survivors include: one daughter, Annie Marable of Wedowee; three sons, Brock Marable (Renee) of Carrollton, GA, Chris Marable (Tammy) of LaGrange, GA, and Sidney Marable (Michelle) of Palm Bay, FL; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; six sisters, Elizabeth Robertson of Wedowee, Brenda Goodwin (Danny) of Wedowee, Lillie Robertson (Jessie) of Wedowee, Patsy Robertson (Winston) of Carrollton, Ga, Minnie Trammell of Wedowee, and Mary Robertson of Carrollton, Ga; and three brothers, John Roy Robertson of Wedowee, Ray Robertson (Alida) of Wedowee, and Sanders Robertson (Rhonda) of Roanoke.

Pallbearers will be Chaserah Marable, Labrandon Marable, Leland Marable, Davonta Robertson, Vincent Smith, Jamaal Whatley, and Frisco Robertson.

A Wedowee native, Mrs. Marable was born on March 11, 1952, the daughter of Jerry Knight and Dorothy Jean Robertson. She was a member of Pine Flat Primitive Baptist Church and worked for Clegg Poultry Company.  Mrs. Marable was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Anthony Lynn Higgins; and stepfather, John L. Sheppard.
