Obituary of Ronald "Ron" J. Davis

Memorial services for Ronald “Ron” J. Davis, age 74, of Woodland, will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at 2:00 PM from Bethel East Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Runels officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00-2:00 PM on Saturday.

Mr. Davis passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at Tanner Medical Center in Wedowee, AL.

Survivors include his wife, Margarette Hamm Davis of Woodland, AL; one daughter, Kimberly Ann Wilson (husband, Brian) of Jay, FL; two sons, Bradley Dale Davis (wife, Renee) of Woodland, AL and Eric Stephen Davis (wife, Jessica) of Marietta, GA; four grandchildren, Joshua Alexander Davis, Hunter Temples Davis, Garrett State Davis, and Lillian Grace Davis; one great-grandchild, Brayden Alexander Davis; one sister, Clarice Martin of Billings, MT; and one brother-in-law, Joe Ziler of Laramie, WY.

Mr. Davis was born in Hardin, Montana on June 30, 1943 to Elvin Ralph and Hazel Drake Davis. He was a member of Bethel East Baptist Church, a veteran of the United States Army, and a former programmer analyst for the state of Georgia. Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Violet Ziler; and an infant sister.
