Obituary of Jacky Lee Wortham

Funeral services for Jacky Lee Wortham, 68, of Wedowee, AL, will be held Sunday, November 25, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jerry Cole, Rev. David Daniel, and Rev. Larry Cosper. Burial will follow at Big Springs Baptist Cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00-8:00 PM on Saturday, November 24, 2018.

Mr. Wortham passed away Friday, November 23, 2018, at Piedmont Hospital, Newnan Georgia.

He is survived by his wife, Kaye Hammond Wortham of Wedowee; two daughters, Andrea Wortham of Woodland, Kira Bailey of Tallahassee, FL; one son, Kyle Bailey of Opelika, AL; four grandchildren, Aubrie Blackmon, Axel Blackmon, Annie Bailey and Katy Longfellow; two brothers, Wayne Wortham of Wedowee, and Eugene Wortham of Wedowee.

Pallbearers will be Larry Raughton, Danny Williams, Sam Gross, Tommie Gardner, Jason Longfellow, Billy Edwards, Kyle Bailey, Fred Lovvorn and Reid Wortham

A lifelong resident of Randolph County, Mr. Wortham was born on January 29, 1950, the son of Leon Wortham and Zelma Stitcher Wortham.  He was a member of Big Springs Baptist Church and had worked at Jeld-wen. He is preceded in death by his parents.
