Obituary of April Nobbley

Funeral services for April Dawn Nobbley, age 44, of Newell will be held on Friday, January 4, 2019, at 2:00 PM at Liberty Grove Congregational Methodist Church with Rev. Jerry Wiggins, Rev. Greg Norred, Rev. Brian Moore, and Rev. Jacob Wilkerson officiating.  Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, January 3, 2019.  Miss Nobbley will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning on Friday.

Miss Nobbley passed away Monday, December 31, 2018, at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Georgia.

Survivors include Her mother, Connie Nobbley of Newell; her father, Larry Nobbley (wife, Christie) of Ranburne; paternal grandmother, Adell Nobbley of Newell; special aunts and uncles, Phyllis and Tommy Hartley, Mike and Debbie Nobbley, and Bill and Ann Morrow; and several caregivers.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Prince, Max Yarbrough, Blair Parker, Jamie Dukus, Scott Taylor, and Austin Meadows.  Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Jeff Stewart, Wayne Johnson, Joey Lipham and Allen McManus.

A Wedowee native, Miss Nobbley was born on January 23, 1974, the daughter of Larry T. Nobbley and Gloria Cornelia Lashley Nobbley.  She was a member of Liberty Grove Congregational Methodist Church.  Miss Nobbley was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Clois and Rex Lashley and her paternal grandfather, Vince Nobbley.
