Obituary of Brandon Lee Houston

Funeral services for Brandon Lee Houston, age 35, of Okinawa, Japan, formerly of Wedowee, will be held on Monday, November 11, 2019, at 11:00 AM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Craig McClure officiating.  Burial will follow at Wedowee City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Saturday, November 9, 2019.

Mr. Houston passed away unexpectedly On October 20, 2019, in Okinawa, Japan.

Survivors include: one son, Ryko Houston of Okinawa, Japan; his mother and stepfather, Bridgette and Michael Allen; father, Willie Autrey; maternal grandmother, Maeola Houston of Wedowee; five sisters, Jazmine Allen of Beaumont, TX, Iris Daniel of Roanoke, Jennifer McGuire of Buford, GA, Nicole Autrey of Franklin, GA, and Ieshia Autrey of Franklin, GA; and one brother, Willie Autrey, Jr.

Pallbearers will be friends and family.

A Wedowee native, Mr. Houston was born on November 14, 1983, the son of Willie Autrey and Bridgette Houston Allen.  He was Baptist by faith, a veteran of the United States Navy, and was a civil service contractor for the Marine Corps Community Services in Japan.  Mr. Houston was preceded in death by a sister, Erica Goss and his grandfather, Benny Houston.
