Obituary of Alida G. Stribling

Funeral services for Alida G. Stribling, age 58, of Wedowee will be held on Friday, January 10, 2020, at 1:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Elder Thomas Knight officiating. Burial will follow at Stephens Mission Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 - 8:00 PM on Thursday, January 9. Mrs. Stribling passed away Saturday, January 4, 2020 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL. Survivors include a son, Allen Stribling, Jr., of Nuevo, CA; two sisters, Lonnie Mae Miller, of Gadsden, AL and Annie Mae Saddler of Cleveland, Ohio; five grandchildren, Yasmine O. Jimenez-Stribling, Ruqayyah A. Majied-Muhammad, Alyssa Jiminez-Stribling, Alonna M. Stribling, and Allen D.X. Stribling III; special friend, Horace Roberson; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. A Wedowee native, Ms. Stribling was born on November 9th, 1961, the daughter of Robert Lee Woodgett and Veronia Lancaster-Saddler. She was Christian by faith and had worked as a receptionist for Manheim. Ms. Stribling was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Allen Stribling, Sr.; one sister and one brother. Memorials may be floral.
