Obituary of Debra Carol Ziegler

Funeral services for Debra Carol Ziegler, 61, of Woodland will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2020, at 11:00 AM at Bear Creek United Methodist Church with Bro. Jacob Wilkerson, Bro. Corson, and Bro. Lee Parrish officiating.  Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, August 5, 2020.  Ms. Zeigler will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning on Thursday.

Ms. Ziegler passed away Monday, August 3, 2020, at her residence.

Survivors include: fiancé, Gordon Ballard of Dadeville; one son, Jarod Ziegler of Woodland; one grandchild, Aisley Ziegler; her mother, Shirley McManus of Woodland; and one brother, Mark McManus (Anita) of Roanoke.

A Roanoke native, Ms. Ziegler was born on November 12, 1958, the daughter of Hobert and Shirley Thompson McManus.  She was a member of Bear Creek United Methodist Church and worked as a real estate agent.  Ms. Ziegler was preceded in death by her father, Hobert McManus, her grandparents, and her aunt, Beatrice Gross.
