I will always remember him "rescuing" me for the sawmill when I was 16. I don't know which was worse, the heat or the physical work. But he treated me like a real human being; even having me come to his house occasionally for lunch. I really appreciated that and have always appreciated that gesture. Oliver Kitchens

Oliver, I certainly remember you being "rescued". That green end was tough and everybody should have experienced that kind of work. It certainly made me appreciate the cotton mill and getting an education. Thanks for the memory!
