I loved Hilda Camp. She was the volunteer adult youth leader at Wedowee Methodist when I started attending MYF after being away from church in my early teens. She was part of my road to walking with the Lord, culminating in a prayer in her and Benny's house with the newly-hired director George Godwin where I invited the Lord into my life at age 14. She was always a great friend and a motherly influence to me on into my adult years. I was happy she met my daughters once when I visited Wedowee not too long ago. Rest in peace, Mrs. Camp. I look forward to seeing you again.

We are so sorry for the loss of Hilda. She was always one of the most beautiful, graceful and kind ladies that we have ever had the honor of knowing. I remember as a young cousin looking up to Hilda and the wonderful example she set for all. She was truly an inspiration and a blessing to all who knew her.
Mike and I will never forget our lovely visit with Hilda, Benny, Ben & Stephanie when the children were young. It was a special time we spent together with your family.
Benny, Ben, Stephanie, Brenda, Jackie, Rhonda and your families, we extend our deepest sympathy to each of you for the loss of Hilda. We are so very grateful for having been a tiny part of Hilda's life and feel blessed to have known her. You are all in our prayers.
We love you,
Dianne, Mike, Buffie & Michael

Mrs. Camp was a wonderful teacher and co-worker. She was the definition of a true southern lady. She taught her students more than cooking and sewing. She demonstrated poise, grace, manners and genuine compassion for others. She will be greatly missed by her Woodland family.
