Obituary of Solon Spence Lee, Jr.

Graveside services for Solon Spence Lee, Jr., 75, of Wedowee will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2020, at 11:00 AM at Corinth North Cemetery with Rev. Steve Dempsey officiating and Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Lee passed away Friday, October 2, 2020, at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Georgia.

Survivors include: one son, Chad Lee (Ashlie) of Wedowee; three grandchildren, Bryant Lee, Brady Lee, and Anna Clare Lee; and one sister, Millie Studdard of Anniston.

A Wedowee native, Mr. Lee was born on April 9, 1945, the son of Solon Spence Lee, Sr., and Vera Ayres Lee.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wedowee, was a United States veteran, and was a retired rural route carrier for the U.S. Postal Service.  Mr. Lee was preceded in death by his parents.
