Obituary of Lucille Brown

Funeral services for Lucille Brown, age 90, of Woodland will be held on Friday, November 20, 2020, at 12:00 PM at Liberty East Baptist Church with Rev. David Taft and Rev. Charles Fetner officiating.  Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM on Friday before services begin.

Mrs. Brown passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2020, at her residence.

Survivors include: one daughter, Judy Owens of Wedowee; one son, Smith Brown, Jr., of Woodland; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Andy Bailey, Andrew Bailey, Joe Noles, Danny Moody, Pete Mitchell, Calvin Edmondson, Johnny Mitchell, and Keith Arrington.  Honorary pallbearer will be Kenneth Arrington.

A Randolph County native, Mrs. Brown was born on April 19, 1930, the daughter of Harvey and Vergie Yates Sears.  She was a member of Liberty East Baptist Church and worked as a seamstress for Lamar Manufacturing.  Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Smith Brown, Sr.; six sisters; and one brother.
