Obituary of Rhonda Joyce Watson

Funeral services for Rhonda Joyce Watson, age 66, of Roanoke will be held on Friday, April 30, 2021, at 2:00 PM Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Keith Benefield officiating.  Burial will follow at Potash Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, April 29, 2021.

Mrs. Watson passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham.

Survivors include her husband, James Watson of Roanoke; one daughter, April Nimon (Thomas) of Roanoke; one son, Kevin Watson of Wedowee; and seven grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Akins, Greg Sheppard, Matt Turner, Johnny Kosza, Gene Benefield, and Nicholas Nimon.

A Roanoke native, Mrs. Watson was born on December 31, 1954, the daughter of Curtis and Verna Perry McDaniel.  She was a member of Potash Church of God and worked at the Hub Restaurant.  Mrs. Watson was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
