Obituary of Linda Faye Laney Hester

Graveside services for Linda Faye Laney Hester, age 83, of Montgomery will be held on Monday, May 10, 2021, at 2:00 PM at East Napoleon Church of Christ Cemetery with Bro. Billy Prince officiating and Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00-1:30 on Monday before services begin.

Mrs. Hester passed away Friday, May 7, 2021, at Prattville Health & Rehab in Prattville, Alabama.

Survivors include: one daughter, Vickie Barefoot (Don) of Salem, AL; one son, Danny Hester (Wendy) of Montgomery, AL; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Barbara Waldrop of Roanoke.

Pallbearers will be Mrs. Hester’s friends and relatives.

A Woodland native, Mrs. Hester was born on August 20, 1937, the daughter of George T. and Ailene Kimball Laney.  She was a member of East Napoleon Church of Christ and worked as a teller at SmallTown Bank. Mrs. Hester was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sam Hester; and two brothers.
