Obituary of Evelyn Bonds

Graveside services for Evelyn M. Bonds, age 87, of Woodland will be held on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Liberty East Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Wade Price and Bro. Barry Yates officiating. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 PM On Monday, May 17, 2021.

Mrs. Bonds passed away Sunday, May 16, 2021, at Lineville Health and Rehabilitation in Lineville, Alabama.

Survivors include: caregivers, Johnny & Brandy Mitchell of Woodland; one sister, Rebecca Yates (Douglas) of Woodland; and nephew & nieces, Barry Yates, Sonja Yates, Peggy Pike, Richard Pike (Wonder), Jane Crenshaw, Barbara Curry, Johnny Mitchell, Joan Dixson, Tammy East, and Sharon Tanner.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Mitchell, Barry Yates, Hunter Mitchell, Richard Pike, II, Bradley Horton, and Paul Wiggins.

A Randolph County native, Mrs. Bonds was born on September 20, 1933, the daughter of Lonza and Dennia Davis Mitchell.  She was a member of Liberty East Baptist Church and worked as a seamstress for Bremen-Bowdon Investment Company.  Mrs. Bonds was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George W. Bonds; one sister, Cena Pike; and two brothers, Handley Mitchell and Lonzie Mitchell.
