Obituary of Barbara Jean Lovvorn Green

Funeral services for Barbara Jean Lovvorn Green, age 86, of Mableton, Georgia, will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Smyrna Baptist Church with Rev. David Daniel officiating.  Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00-11:00 AM on Saturday before services begin.

Mrs. Green passed away Thursday, September 30, 2021, at Tranquility Hospice in Austell, Georgia.

Survivors include: two sons, Gary Green of Mableton, GA, and Martin Green (Barbara) of Hiram, GA; one granddaughter, Amber Kaleta; and two great-granddaughters, Ashlan Kaleta and Grace Kaleta.

An Alabama native, Mrs. Green was born on February 21, 1935, the daughter of George and Edna Rice Lovvorn.  She was Baptist by faith and worked as an operator for Bellsouth.  Mrs. Green was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hulen Green; and two brothers, Cleve Lovvorn and Larry Lovvorn.
