Obituary of Alexus Holloway

Funeral services for Alexus Holloway, age 21, of Huntsville, AL, will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ben Milam officiating.  Burial will follow at Mt. Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30-2:00 PM on Thursday before services begin.

Alexus passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021, at her home.

Survivors include her parents, Jerome and Carrie Holloway of Huntsville, AL; paternal grandmother, Marvolene Holloway of Wedowee; maternal grandparents, Jan Grau and Robert Messer, Jr., both of Wedowee; two sisters, Arley Holloway and Ellie Holloway, both of Huntsville, AL; and a brother, Zak Holloway of Huntsville, AL.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Mitchell, Jonathan Mitchell, Jason Holloway, Alex Holloway, Rodney Milam, Ronnie Milam, Jacob Holloway, Jake Rotter, and Gregory Jones.

A North Carolina native, Alexus was born on January 3, 2000, the daughter of Jerome and Carrie Messer Holloway.  She was Baptist by faith and inspiring in all that she did.  Alexus was a talented artist and poet, our beautiful girl, and will be dearly missed.
