Obituary of Nathan Tyler Meadows

Funeral services for Nathan Tyler Meadows, age 40, of Roanoke will be held on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Bro. Justin Benefield officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:30-8:00 PM on Monday, October 18, 2021.

Mr. Meadows passed away Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Tanner-East Alabama Medical Center in Wedowee, Alabama.

Survivors include his wife, Rachel Denise Meadows of Roanoke; one daughter, Angela Denise Starks of Auburndale, FL; three sons, Terry Wayne Meadows and Joey Michael Meadows, both of Roanoke, and Jeremiah Lee Starks of Auburndale, FL; his father, Wayne Meadows (Kelly) of Woodland; his mother, Debra Striblin Powell of Woodland; three sisters, Amy Meadows of Roanoke, Nikki Queen of Woodland, and Kim White of Franklin, GA; and four brothers, Derrick Meadows of Villa Rica, GA, Eric Sheppard of Whitesburg, GA, Chuck Sheppard and Scott Powell, both of Woodland.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mr. Meadows’ brothers and cousins.

A lifelong Randolph County resident, Mr. Meadows was born in Carrollton, Georgia, on June 24, 1981, the son of Wayne Meadows and Debra Striblin Powell.  He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, worked in construction, and was a member of Sawyer #93 Masonic Lodge.  Mr. Meadows was preceded in death by his stepfather, Terry Powell and grandparents, Burlin & Gwen Meadows and Junior & Shirley Striblin.
