Obituary of Debra Ann Marable

Funeral services for Debra Ann Marable, age 67, of Wedowee will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at 1:00 PM CDT at Zion Rest Baptist Church with Rev. William Phillips officiating.  Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00-6:00 PM on Friday, November 12, 2021.

Mrs. Marable passed away Friday, November 5, 2021, at her residence.

Survivors include: one daughter, Renee Chappell Baker of Wedowee; three sons, Marcus Chappell, Tyson Marable, and Tyler Marable, all of Wedowee; ten grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A Randolph County native, Mrs. Marable was born on September 30, 1954, the daughter of Dewey Albert and Nellie Bailey Chappell.  She was a member of Zion’s Rest Baptist Church and worked as a seamstress for Bremen-Bowdon Investment Company.  Mrs. Marable was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Rosalind Hope Cannon.
