Obituary of Anita "Nikki" Nicole Richards Skinner
A memorial service for Anita Nicole “Nikki” Richards Skinner, age 49, of Heflin will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at 2:00 PM with Rev. Steve Dempsey at Benefield Funeral Chapel.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 – 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 13, 2022.
Ms. Skinner passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022, at her home.
Survivors include her mother, Libby Daniel Richards; a son, Lawrence Jackson “Trae” Skinner, III; paternal grandparents, C.W. & Joy Richards; maternal grandparents, Georgia & Juanita Chavers; siblings, Robert Richards (Sheri), Kimberly Nimon (Bo), Bryan Richards (Trista), Brandon Richards (Megan), Cecil Richards (Rachelle), Era Skinner (Tanya), and Valerie Evatt (Ben); many nieces and nephews including, Joshua Richards, Allison Jones (Stetson), Brooke Strickland, Charlotte Watts (Mason), James “Eddie” Richards (Brittany), Savannah Richards, Cayla Rader (Johnny), Ariel Ingram, Bo Lee Nimon, Heaven Sennamon (Josh), and Lea Ward; and several great-nieces and great-nephews including, Charles Glen “Charlie” Strickland, III, Haygen Kelley, and River Mason Watts.
A Marietta, Georgia native, Mrs. Skinner was born on December 31, 1972, the daughter of Cecil Donald Richards and Georgia “Libby” Daniel Richards. She was Christian by faith and was a homemaker. Mrs. Skinner enjoyed watching her kids and nieces and nephews grow and loved RCHS sports. She was preceded in death by her husband, Randy Jackson Skinner; her father, Cecil Donald Richards; grandparents; C.W. & Joy Richards and Clarence Daniel & Juanita Chavers; four brothers, Donald Edward “Eddie” Richards, George Wayne “GW” Richards, Bradley Richards, and Christopher Richards; sister-in-law, Belinda Richards; three nieces, Brianna Claire Richards, Chelsea Group, and Grace Lynn Richards; and great-niece or nephew, infant Watts.
