Obituary of Linda Joyce Bolt

Funeral services for Linda Joyce Bolt, age 72, of Wedowee, AL, will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Donald Spradlin and Rev. Claude Bennett officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel West Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Tuesday, April 5, 2022.

Mrs. Bolt passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022, at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Georgia.

Survivors include her loving husband of almost 55 years, Sherlon Bolt; son, Bobby Bolt (Lisa) of Wedowee, AL; daughter, Barbara McCain (Don) of Lineville, AL; seven sisters, Sandra Brown (Jack) of Wedowee, AL, Lottie Key of Roanoke, AL, Debra Little of Roanoke, AL, Wanda Smith (Brad) of Newell, AL, Janice Sprayberry (Anthony) of Woodland, AL, Sheila Vowell of Newell, AL, and Kathy Vowell of Wedowee, AL; two brothers, Randy Vowell (Sherry) of Wedowee, AL, and Larry Vowell of Wedowee, AL; two grandchildren, Chris McCain (Ashley) of Wedowee, AL and Kelsey Strickland (Dakota) of Heflin, AL; and five great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Scott McCain, Chris McCain, Dakota Strickland, Brad Smith, Anthony Sprayberry, Tony Brown, Glenn Brown and Levi Brown.

A Randolph County native, Mrs. Bolt was born on September 10, 1949, the daughter of Lommie and Mattie Will Vowell. She was a member of Welcome Home Baptist Church and a homemaker. Mrs. Bolt was preceded in death by her  parents; sister, Dorothy Hunt; and brother, Vernon Vowell.
