Obituary of Florene Weathers

Funeral services for Florene Weathers, age 84, of Woodland will be he held on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Adam Mangram officiating.  Burial will follow at White’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00-11:00 AM on Saturday before services begin.

Mrs. Weathers passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at Majestic Senior Living in Bowdon, Georgia.

Survivors include: one daughter, Winette Rochester (Ricky) of Woodland, AL; one son, Keith Weathers (Sherri) of Woodland; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Eleanor Taylor of Wedowee; and two brothers, Wayne Ussery of Roanoke and Carey Ussery of Dahlonega, GA.

Pallbearers will be John Rochester, Joedy Rochester, Radney Brown, Doug Brown, Jeff Brown, Ryder Rochester, and Cooper Rochester.

A Roanoke native, Mrs. Weathers was born on January 6, 1938, the daughter of Floyd Lee and Burdie Butler Ussery.  She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and was a housewife.  Mrs. Weathers was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John D. Weathers; and a sister, Ann Brown.
