Obituary of John Lovvorn Coe

Memorial services for John Lovvorn Coe, age 76, of Auburn, AL, will be held on Monday, August 21, 2023, at 3:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Chapel.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00-3:00 PM before services begin.

Mr. Coe passed away Friday, August 18, 2023, at his home.

Survivors include: one daughter, Connie Coe Haas (Rodney) of Northport, AL; one son, Rich Coe of Opelika, AL; two grandchildren, Caroline and Lucy Haas; and two brothers, Gene Coe and Tim Coe (Suzy).

A Randolph County native, Mr. Coe was born on September 12, 1946, the son of Herbert and Katherine Lovvorn Coe.  He graduated from Randolph County High School, the class of 1964, and was the starting quarterback for the team.  Mr. Coe attended Auburn University and was a member of the Sigma Pi fraternity. He was an avid Auburn Tigers fan.  Mr. Coe adored his children and grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
